New Members

News – December 2005

We received a family of eight into membership this morning through the parent’s reaffirmation of faith and household baptism of their six children.

Like many others who grew up in Arminian and Dispensationalist churches, this couple initially did not understand why we practiced household baptism.

Nevertheless, and after much Bible study, they came to understand (and rejoice in the fact) that God’s covenant promise was for them and their children.

Having been informed that the building we have been renting for the last two years has been sold, the Property Search Committee met to discuss our plans for the future.

God has always shown himself faithful to provide our church with  a suitable meeting place, and we look forward to seeing how he will provide next.

Caroling

News – December 2005

Rather than braving the bitter-cold elements this year, we obtained permission from our local grocery store and sang carols and hymns inside the store while people shopped on Friday night.

While the choir was singing inside, some of the younger children greeted customers outside with a smile, candy cane, and gospel tract.
