Why Participate in the Life Chain?

This Sunday at 1:00 pm Christians across the country will be standing on the Main Street of their towns for an hour of silent prayer and holding signs that read, “Abortion Kills Children, Abortion Hurts Women, Jesus Forgives and Heals, etc.”

My family and I will be joining them and we ask that you consider doing the same.

What is Charity?

Pastor McShaffrey interrupted his series on 1 Corinthians to deliver a portion of J.C. Ryle’s classic exposition on scriptural charity based on 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 and published in 1878 in “Practical Religion”.

Pastor McShaffrey endeavored to modernize the language and modify the content as little as possible during delivery.

What is Reformed Theology?

Reformed theology gets its name from the sixteenth century Protestant Reformation, with its distinct theological emphases, but it is theology solidly based on the Bible itself.

Believers in the reformed tradition regard highly the specific contributions of such people as Martin Luther, John Knox, and particularly John Calvin, but they also find their strong distinctives in the giants of the faith before them, such as Anselm and Augustine, and ultimately in the letters of Paul and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
