Eating Pollution

How would you like to live in a neighborhood where garbage was never collected and taken away? What if there was no provision in the creation for getting rid of waste? By now the Earth would have become a filthy mess!

Our sewage and other waste does not break down all by itself. Without microbes, waste would simply continue to pile up. But if you were designing a world in which waste would have to be “taken away,” how would you do it? (more…)

Nature’s Velcro

The loop-and-hook fastener called Velcro has come a long way since it first appeared.

Velcro goes into space as a light, easy-to-use fastener. Here on Earth, it’s replacing everything from laces in children’s shoes to buttons and zippers on coats.

However, humans were not the inventors of the hook-and-loop fastener. Plants were the first to use this principle. (more…)

A Flood of Flood Legends

Today it is considered scholarly to reject the Bible’s account of a worldwide flood.

Some try to compromise by saying that the flood recorded in the Bible was only a local event.

The problem with these scholarly claims is that there were too many witnesses who disagree with them. We can test these scholars’ claims. (more…)

Mystery of Missing Neutrinos

“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” We’ve all heard this familiar saying.

In the case of the sun’s fire, scientists expect to find not smoke but tiny particles called neutrinos. The problem is, most of those neutrinos are missing.

One God Against “the gods”

Modern skeptics of the Bible, including skeptics within the church, often deny the Bible’s description of God’s actions in the ten plagues against Egypt.

However, our growing knowledge of ancient Egypt tells us that the plagues described in the Bible were exactly what God himself said that they were. They were indeed the true God’s judgment against the false gods of Egypt. (more…)
